Be there for the beginning! We are giving our Bird Better workshop in one of the most exciting and dynamic spring migration hotspots in the world! This will be the first official event for Avocet Birding Courses and we could not be more excited to share it with you. The workshop is a dynamic way to learn cutting edge bird identification techniques and concepts in a fun environment. If you are a lifelong learner with a desire to become a better birder this workshop is for you! Our location is ideal for igniting learning and having a phenomenal time enjoying peak migration. The workshop will take place at the South Padre Birding and Nature Center and our birding sessions will target the best locations in the area to maximize every moment.
Want to conquer your reluctance to publically identify waterthrushes? That’s on the agenda. Want to learn how to quickly scan through a large flock of shorebirds picking out every species? We’ve got you covered. Want to stop waking up in the middle of the night in a cold-sweat muttering “There were empids everywhere!”? For that you should consider a sleep specialist, but hey, we’ll take a crack at it!
If you are a Texas birder, or if you already plan to be birding on the Texas Coast this spring, or if you’ve never experienced Texas in spring but want to see what the hype is about join us! We only conduct small group workshops so space is limited.
